We went there to have our 2 puppies trained and we went to a few classes, then I ended up with a second cancer so haven't made it to the rest of the classes. Asked for a refund of $60 back in Oct 2016 and Dec 2017 and Feb 2017 and got a response in Feb 2017 stating "no refunds" for being too busy for classes. So wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. I guess your health means nothing.
It's too bad you chose to not mention the health problems to me. You just never showed up again and then, a full year later, asked for a refund. Only upon your negative review did I learn of the cancer. I had offered alternative solutions.
So glad we chose to work with Debi with our little reservation rescue Australian Shepherd cross, Lily - Debi's extensive knowledge of behavior principles combined with patience and experience really helped show us how to mold our pup into a great family dog! It was super helpful to be able to have my teen-ager participate in the class along with the dog and I. We really took away quite a bit from this and are looking forward to planning the next class we will be taking from her!
I'm thrilled that your daughter wanted to be involved. The more of the family that are on the same page, the easier it is for your dog and a win/win for everyone. Debi
I started training with Debi and my 9 month old Weimeraner a few months ago in the group lesson. After the first lesson, there was already a positive behavioral change in my dog. After a couple weeks, people that would come to visit thought we got a new dog. She had learned manners, self control, and confidence. Debi has a very positive way of training dogs/humans. There is no punishment, you take the word "no" out of the vocabulary, and you redirect the behavior, ignoring bad behavior. What's funny, is this method also works well on humans I am learning! By the end of our training, she was no longer the scared/barking dog. She confidently walked on a leash around the room, responded with good eye contact to the commands, and left with great confidence and a yearning to please me and be a good dog. Debi also is very helpful in one on one extra help if you need it in areas that are not covered during the lessons. We will definitely return to further my dog's training, maybe even trying the agility classes for fun. Thanks Debi! I'm so grateful for all you have helped us to achieve!
It was a delight having you and your girl. I look forward to seeing you again in the future. Debi
Debi helped get my 21/2 year old Aussie ready for his first time in the Conformation Show Ring. Debi was able to identify Hank's strengths and weaknesses and worked with Hank with paitience. She also had to work with me with patience as it was my first experience showing a dog! Love that she is a Karen Pryor Certified Trainer! Awesome experience all around.
We recently lost one of our Shihtzu's that we lived with for 11 years. We still have one Shihtzu who needs a play mate. In searching around we found Sapphize Shih Tzu - Debi Buchholz in Kalispell, Montana. We are so impressed with Debi's love of her dogs. They way she feeds and trains them with love. We have observed that basically, Debi's life is all about her Shihtzu's. We now go and visit our soon to be new family member and play mate for our puppy and we are always amazed at how clean the environment is and how happy and well mannered all the dogs are, even the young ones. We are so excited that we found Debi Buchholz Sapphize Shihtzu's and having a very hard time waiting until Debi says the young puppy is mature enough to leave her mother and come home with us. We know in a few years we will be in the same situation and without hesitation we will be contacting Sapphize Shihtzu's - Debi again.
Fantastic! Great work by everyone.
I have two young herding dogs and I was looking for fun classes we could take together beyond basic obedience. A Google search of "agility in Kalispell, MT" landed me at Anything's PAWSable website. I called Debi to see what classes she was offering and what pre-requisite classes we might need to take. We took a great beyond basics class and because it was so fun we are now taking an introduction to agility. Debi Buccholz is very knowledgeable and reads dogs very well. I really enjoy learning from her and my dogs do too!Debi's classroom/training area is spacious and safe and each dog/person pair, if taking a group class, has their own space. One of my dogs is nervous when first meeting other dogs so the private space was the key to her success in a group setting; it even helped her become more confident around new dogs because she didn't have to worry about defending herself.Debi is very knowledgeable and reads dogs very well. She clearly has a strong background in positive training techniques and keeps classes fun and energetic. She is able to personalize each class to my dogs' individual personalities, which makes it great for me to best understand how to best teach them based on their strengths and challenges. Debi is also generous with her time and offers helpful tips to help remedy a behavior, increase confidence, and improve the connection with my dogs.Debi offers puppy socialization and basic obedience to rally-o and agility classes and beyond. Her classes are reasonably priced and typically run six weeks. Whether you are looking to teach your dog basic manners or want to do more with your dog for fun, Anything's PAWSable is a great place to go! I am happy to be a student and look forward to having fun with my dogs each week in class with Debi!
My six month old Pom cross and I have been having lessons with Debi for just a few short weeks and already he is understanding cues, walking calmly on leash and we are currently working on his "come". Debi has enlightened me about how the dog thinks and how important that is when one desires your pet to be a lifelong companion, free of fear and intimidation. I'm so excited to go through this process of learning and then teaching my own dog, with an exceptional trainer. (And a really nice person, too!)
I love helping you with your dogs, and especially to see the moment when the dog "gets it" and they smile and get happy. My goal is for you and your dog to have the same joy in each other.
